He is from Yokohama city Kanagawa Prefecture. He has stayed in Canada for snowboarding from 1999 to 2003 and started to climb mountains. Then he has worked as a programmer for 4 years in Japan. During that time he has toured and climbed throughout the Japanese Alps, Canada, New Zealand, Switzerland, and Argentina for backcountry snowboard trip. Now he is guiding at Mt. Fuji in summer and guiding as a backcountry snowboard guide and teaching avalanche course in winter. He is surfing in day off at Kamakura beach of his home area, and checking Mt. Fuji from there.
